Innovation Day 2010
The first Innovation Day Prague has been in its inaugural year a meeting point not only for Czech business people interested in innovation, but from overall the world. Over 100 business people, experts in innovation management as well as representatives from government and academia discussed trends and best practice experience in innovation management.
The lead topic of the year 2010 has been the question how radical innovation can help to start successfully out of the crisis. Several workshops focusing for instance on mobility, the effectiveness of innovation spending or on the future of interactive services enabled the participants to deepen their experience and know how in the area of innovation management and radical innovation.
Highlights have been besides the workshops Key Note Speeches by Prof. Oliver Gassmann from the University of St. Gallen or initial speeches by Stefanie Biala, Vodafone Group R&D, Jane Gilson, CEO Microsoft Czech Republic or David Vrba, CEO 3M Czech Republic. An open space result presentation in the afternoon enabled all participants to take away learnings from workshops they were not able to attend and was followed by a panel discussion with leading business experts on the competitiveness of Europe based on innovations. The event was ended with a reception in the early evening which gave the chance for informal networking opportunities and as the participants were very satisfied with the know how gathering and networking during this event, the most frequent question was for the next date of the Innovation Day.
Looking forward to see in 2011 for the second Innovation Day on the 20th of May!
